Meet the Group

We are a dedicated, fun-loving group of students who take the time from our busy schedules to enjoy, practice, and perform a cappella music.  We all have a passion for singing, and we do our best to expand the largely technical focus of ERAU by performing for free around our campus and our community.

Tristan Reyes
Tenor I, Fall 2017
President

Tristan is a junior studying Aeronautical Science and sings Tenor 1 for the AcaFellas. His hobbies include playing sports such as football and lacrosse. He is from New Jersey, but now claims to be a Floridian. He hopes to one day be able to fly the F-16 and also the 747.

Alex Cvercko
Tenor II, Fall 2017
Vice President

Alexander Cvercko is a junior majoring in civil engineering currently enjoying his second semester at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Alex grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Originally playing violin for 9 years, Alex was a member of the Detroit Symphony Youth Orchestra  and has had a growing appreciation for music his whole life. By all accounts, Alex has been described as a “Charismatic Character”, an “Unforgettable Person”, a “Team Player” and a “Tenor Two”. His classic “can do” attitude brings not only inspiration, but perspiration to the group ;) His creativity leaves his claustrophobic cohorts not only confused, but perplexed. His fairly new status as a licensed driver brings not only chaos, but another mode of transportation for the AcaFellas. In his free time, Alex enjoys European soccer, singing, playing soccer, watching Netflix, and playing video games.

John Sahr
Bass, Fall 2017
Secretary

John is a junior in Aerospace Engineering, from Seattle, WA. He started singing in high school and has been very glad to continue doing so with the Acafellas. His hobbies include procrastinating and sleeping. He was elected to the position of secretary against his will, although he has since begrudgingly agreed to cooperate.

Dean Yaworowski
Bass, Fall 2016
Treasurer

Dean is a bass and an Aerospace Engineering senior from Shelton, CT. He is currently working towards his private pilot's license and hopes to one day be a flight instructor on the side. Besides singing, Dean enjoys bowling, golf, and naps. The AcaFellas is his first experience in the performing arts, and he is glad he took the plunge.

Jordan Thomas
Baritone, Fall 2016
Public Relations

Jordan Thomas hails from the beautiful island of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and is a fourth-year Aerospace Engineering student. Though referred to as the quiet enigma, Jordan loves spending time with the group and finding new ways to make them laugh. When listening to the soothing sounds of the AcaFellas, that loud voice from the back you hear is definitely NOT Jordan since it has taken his past four semesters in the group just to hear what his voice actually sounds like. His hobbies include singing, playing flight simulators, plane watching, and being a mentor to freshmen on campus.

Tenor II, Fall 2017

“That’s right...Make ‘em wait for it…BOOM!” Words cannot describe this jet-setting supermodel. It’s a rare occasion to ever catch Tristyn with the Fellas because he’s usually living it up around the world with his besties Gigi and Bella. John Scheer
Baritone, Spring 2019

John is a Computer Engineering student with a minor in Cyber Security Engineering. He is from Columbus, Ohio and in his free time enjoys scuba diving and frisbee golf. John is very tall the tallest of them all coming in at a whooping 7’10”. He is also Nitrox certified by the way. When he's not swimming with the fishies or singing with the fellas, John likes embracing his inner "Thotiana" on the dance floor to the musical stylings of Blueface, MC Hammer, and Cardi B.
